Guide
Add an assistant to your workspace
Invite a junior or a clerk to your PocketPeshi workspace so you both work from the same case files, and understand what an assistant can and cannot do.
Who this is for
If a junior, a clerk or a munshi helps you keep the diary and the files, add them to your workspace. They work from the same case files as you, on their own login, so the diary is never out of date because one person was away.
Add an assistant
- Open Settings from the sidebar (or the menu on mobile).
- In the Team section, add the assistant with their name and contact details.
- A login is created for them. Share it with them privately; on first sign in they set their own password, which no one at PocketPeshi can see.
- They sign in and immediately see your workspace and all its cases.
Adding an assistant needs an internet connection. Only the workspace owner (the lawyer) can add or remove team members.
What an assistant can do
- Add clients and cases.
- Record proceedings and fix the next date.
- Reschedule hearings and edit proceedings.
- Record fee payments and upload documents.
What stays with the lawyer
- Adding and removing team members.
- Voiding a fee entry — reversing money already recorded stays with the lawyer, so the ledger has one accountable owner.
Removing someone
When an assistant leaves, remove them from the same Team section. Their login stops working for your workspace straight away; the cases, proceedings and payments they entered stay on the files.
