Questions, answered plainly
Who is PocketPeshi for?
Practising advocates in Pakistan and the assistants they work with. It is built around district and sessions courts, high courts and tribunals, and Pakistani procedure — appeal, revision, review, execution, remand and restoration.
How do I get an account?
Sign up from the sign-up form — name, email, phone and accepting the terms. Your account is created straight away, with no review step. You get a username and a temporary password; on first login you set your own password. An admin can suspend an account that is misused.
Do I need internet to use it?
For everyday use, mostly no. The main screens open from a copy of your workspace held on the device. Recording a proceeding, editing a hearing and fixing the next date all work offline and sync when you reconnect. Signing up, and creating a new case or client, need a connection.
Does it really work with no signal inside a court building?
Yes. That is the case it is designed for. You can open the case, read its history and record the proceeding and next date with no connection. The change is queued on the device and sent the moment you are back on data.
If I record something offline, is it definitely saved?
It is saved on your device immediately and shown as pending. It is only marked confirmed once the server has accepted it. If the server rejects a change, the local copy is rolled back rather than left looking saved, so the record stays accurate.
Is my client data private, and who can see it?
Your workspace is private to you and the assistants you add. Platform administrators can reach workspace content only for support you have asked for, for security reasons, or where the law requires it, and every such access is written to an audit log. Your passwords are stored only as a one-way hash and cannot be read by anyone.
What does it cost?
Everything PocketPeshi does today is free to use. There is nothing to pay for the current feature set. Ads may be introduced on the free plan in a later update.
Is there a paid plan?
A Premium plan is coming: Rs. 999 per month, adding a set of premium features on top of the free plan. Those features are being defined for the next version. Premium is purchased from inside the app, not from this website.
Which phone do I need, and do I have to install anything?
It runs in the browser on any reasonably recent Android phone, iPhone, or computer. You can install it to the home screen from the browser menu for a full-screen app, but that is optional.
Can my assistant use it?
Yes. A lawyer and their assistants share one workspace and the same case files. You add assistants from Settings. They can record proceedings, fix dates, add fee payments and upload documents; voiding a fee entry stays with the lawyer.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You can export your workspace data at any time from Settings, and before closing an account.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
No. It is month to month and you can stop at the end of any month.
I practise in more than one court or city. Does that matter?
No. Cases are not tied to a single court. Each case records its own court and stage, and the calendar and cause lists cover all of your matters together.
Is it only for Pakistan?
It is built for practice in Pakistan — the terminology, the procedure and the court structure. It is not adapted for other jurisdictions.
